The Recreation Center will be open 9am-5pm Monday December 24th and Monday December 31st.
On August, 17th, City Hall suffered significant damage from a lightning strike. As a result of this damage, City Hall was closed and its employees and operations were temporally moved to the Recreation Center. Recently, the City Council has estimated that it may take up to 18 months to restore City Hall functions so they have decided to keep the City Hall employees and operations at the Recreation Center.
As a result of this decision, the Recreation Center will not be available for any recreational activities including drop-in sessions, indoor programming, and rentals. It will, however, be open for program registration. Registrations can be made in person Monday-Friday from 9am-7pm at the Recreation Center. They can also be mailed to the Recreation Center at 15 Vanderbilt Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
We are very sorry for this inconvenience. Please know your recreational needs are very important to us. We are committed to serving our community, and are actively seeking alternative locations for our program participants, specifically our Volleyball and Youth Basketball programs which use the gymnasium.
Again, we truly apologize for this inconvenience, and appreciate your support and patience. We hope that in a year to a year and a half we are back to serving your recreational needs at the Recreation Center.
