2020 Census

Saratoga Springs Mayor Meg Kelly has challenged the residents to complete their 2020 Census. In times like these, it is critical to make sure our First Responders, our Hospitals, and our schools have what they need to continue supporting our community. Much of their funding comes from Federal and State allocations determined by the Census.

The Challenge is to hit 80% self-reporting by May 1, 2020.

Many of us are home during ’New York State on Pause’, so let’s make sure Saratoga Springs is accurately counted by filling out your 2020 Census at https://my2020census.gov/

Your response matters.

Health clinics. Fire departments. Schools. Even roads and highways. The census can shape many different aspects of your community.

  • Census results help determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into states and communities each year.

  • The results determine how many seats in Congress each state gets.

  • It’s mandated by the U.S. Constitution in Article 1, Section 2: The U.S. has counted its population every 10 years since 1790.
