Mayor Yepsen is pleased to invite Saratogians to a Human Rights town hall event on the 22nd of May at 7:30 PM in the Music Hall, located on the third floor of City Hall. Mayor Yepsen will be joined by Angelica Morris, executive director of the Human Rights Commission in Schenectady. All groups and individuals interested in this topic may attend.
As promised at her 2017 State of the City Address, Mayor Joanne Yepsen will announce the formation of a Saratoga Springs Human Rights Task Force, a group that shall be committed to enacting the City Council resolution and the mission to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment in Saratoga Springs for all. Members of the Task Force will be introduced at the May 22 Town Hall.
Local human rights-advocacy groups will be invited to collaborate closely with the city’s Task Force to ensure maximized effectiveness in dealing with human rights concerns and programming offered in the area.
