The Outfall Map depicts the location of all outfalls, or end pipes, within our City that discharge stormwater runoff to surface waters under jurisdiction of New York State. Each of these outfalls has been field inspected for evidence of pollution and their overall condition documented and recorded.
Follow-up inspections of these outfalls are conducted periodically to insure that the stormwater continues to run clean and does not contain pollutants. The outfall mapping and inspection work is a critical component of the Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination (IDDE) program addressed in Minimum Control Measure (MCM) No. 3.
