The City Clerk’s Office is responsible for issuing licenses for a variety of things. You will find the applications for the licenses under Forms & Permits.

For those licenses that require insurance, please be advised that the worker compensation form (Form # C-105.2) and the NYS Disability form (Form # DB-120.1) are not available from the City’s web site. These forms are available from your insurance carrier or sample forms may be obtained from this office.

Coin Drops:
The City does allow local (within the City of Saratoga Springs) not-for-profit organizations to hold coin drops in the City under limited circumstances. Coin drops are not permitted during the racing season. For details on how to apply for a coin drop please email us.

Certificates of Residency:
If you are a resident of the City of Saratoga Springs, you may obtain a certificate of residency for community college from the City Clerk’s Office. You must be a resident of the City of Saratoga Springs for a period of one year continuously. You must bring information showing all of your residences. One must be dated approximately one year prior to your coming into the office and one must be dated within the last month. A piece of mail, prescription bottle, and driver’s license are examples of information with dates.

If you have not been a resident for the entire one year period, you must go to the Saratoga County Treasurer in Ballston Spa to obtain the certificate.

Elections:
Primary elections are usually held yearly in September at 25 polling places in the City of Saratoga Springs. Hours for primaries are 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The general election is held annually the first Tuesday of November. Hours are 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
