SUMMARY
The Saratoga Springs Recreation Commission is a 7 member board of community volunteers appointed by the Mayor to oversee the Recreation Department. Our mission is to create fun, safe, affordable activities, and to enrich the community’s quality of life through outstanding recreation programs, resources, and facilities for all individuals. By having the authority, per the City Charter, to equip, operate, and maintain playgrounds and recreation centers we achieve the mission.
At the Rec, success is developing meaningful and impactful experiences in recreation for all to benefit from. We established 4 Focus Areas to ensure these experiences align with our mission and goals. The Focus Areas are Programs, Facilities, Community and Volunteers.
