Youth Soccer - Fall and Spring Programs

Hello Soccer Families!

We are pleased you have chosen to participate in our Fall Soccer League. Although this year's league will certainly look different than it has in previous years, we can assure you that our focus on SAFETY and FUN for the players has not changed. We have studied the New York State Sports and Recreation Guidelines  in order to develop new protocols and league activities. While we will highlight a few significant procedures below, we encourage you to view our Return to Rec Operational Plan for complete details and understanding along with reviewing our program information below.

Your family’s safety is our number one concern as the City works towards a return to play!

In order to ensure the safety of both you and the community, the City will be instituting the following measures at all of its facilities

  • All participants will undergo a health screening prior to each practice/game. This screening will consist of:
    • Attesting the participant's temperature is not 100.4 F or higher
    • Answering NO to the following COVID-19 related questions:
      • Have you had COVID-19 symptoms in the past 14 days
      • Have you had a positive COVID-19 test in the past 14 days
      • Have you had close or proximate contact with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases in the past 14 days
  • Masks are required for coaches and staff.  Participants are encouraged but not required to wear a mask while playing.  
  • Spectators are expected to maintain social distancing and wear a mask when unable to maintain distance.  
  • Allowing no more than two (2) spectators per participant per practice/game.
Parking:
In an effort to coordinate parking with the reopening of the Casino, we are asking that all Rec participants park in the unpaved section of the lot closest to Nelson Avenue. Click here for the map.

Refund Policy:
An appropriate refund will be issued in the event of program changes or cancellations.

Welcome to Rec Soccer!

Little Kickers is a Parent/Child introductory program that teaches basic soccer fundamentals through games and activities. In keeping with safety and social distancing guidelines, we ask that only 1 parent accompany the participant on the field. As such we will be separating our program into 2 sessions this fall . Your family has the option as to which session you may sign up for. We will be limiting each session to 30 participants. The participants will also be divided up once arrived to take advantage of our open outdoor space. Our instructors will work together and participants will go through stations to prevent one large group gathering. Since 1 parent will be participating with their child, please only 1 additional guest per participant.

Big Kickers has teams and coaches. Teams will practice skills with the coordinator for half of the session and play games the other half. 

Our league is separated into grade appropriate divisions to expose players to skills based on level of play. Divisions are COED unless we have enough players to separate into a Girls and Boys Division. The Kickers play 1 time per week, on the weekend. All other divisions play once during the week and once on the weekend. Divisions and schedules may change depending on registrations.

*Volunteer Coaches Needed*
Two volunteer coaches are needed per team. Registration fee is waived on or before 8/31 for the child you coach. A $25 registration fee will apply after 8/31.
