Demonstration Declaration and Application

The City of Saratoga Springs has updated its Demonstration Declaration Application and instructions to make it easier for the community to express their interests and concerns. The City’s goal is to provide regulations that protect the safety of persons during public demonstrations. The City has developed a fillable form for submission for Demonstration Declarations. The City may need to meet with you to discuss the availability of City resources that you will reasonably need to conduct your demonstration safely. The City has authority to regulate demonstrations based on traffic congestion, public access to streets, sidewalks and public ways, and congestion caused by other scheduled activities and permitted events in public places. The availability of necessary safety equipment and trained personnel is also important. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. The Demonstration Declaration process begins when you submit your application. Acceptance of your application should IN NO WAY be construed as final approval or confirmation of your stated date, place and time. Please email your completed form to Assistant City Clerk Barbara Brindisi at barbara.brindisi@saratoga-springs.org and provide as much information as possible.

Should you have any questions, please contact the City Clerk’s Office at (518) 587-3550 ext 2546.
