Winter Fundamentals of Figure Skating Early Registration Period: September 5-December 26

Intro to Skating Early Registration Periods:

Early Fall (Tuesday only) - July 3-September 25

Fall (Tuesday or Saturday) - July 3-October 23

Winter (Tuesday or Saturday) - September 5-December 26

Requirements:
Must have passed through Intro to Ice Skating Level 6 or be able to do back crossovers and a forward to backward turn.
Fall Dates:9/23-12/16 (no 11/25)
Winter Dates:1/6-3/30 (no 2/17)
Times for all:10:15-11:15am

Fundamental of Figure Skating Program Highlights:
  • Introduces participants to the athleticism and artistry of figure skating
  • Classes grouped by ability (see requirements above)
  • Instructors have many years experience teaching figure skating and will emphasize fun and safety while providing proper technique in figure skating basics
  • Bike, ski or hockey helmets mandatory for all participants
  • Figure skates only
  • Participants should wear warm pants and jacket that provide movement, and mittens/gloves
  • Program will culminate with an end of session exhibition highlighting skaters' achievements

  • Class times will be determined by the # of participants we receive for each level

3 and up (Adults welcome)

10/3-11/7 
(10/30 instead of 10/31)
Fall Dates (Tuesday):11/14-12/19
Fall Dates (Saturday):11/4-12/16 (no 11/25)
Winter Dates (Tuesday):

Tues Times:
One hour between 4:45-6:15pm (email will be sent prior to start date with class time)

One hour between 11:15am-12:45pm (email will be sent prior to start date with class time)

Intro to Ice Skating Program Highlights:
  • Introduces participants to the exciting world of ice skating
  • Provides opportunity to build upon skills already learned
  • Prepares a skater for figure skating, hockey, or speed skating
  • Level based system of teaching provides clear path to advancement
  • Classes grouped by age and ability and will consist of a 15 min warmup, 30 min group lesson and a 15 min practice
  • Instructors have many years experience teaching and emphasize fun and safety while providing proper technique in ice skating basics
  • A responsible adult must accompany beginning skaters on the ice and be available to assist instructors. Adults do not need to wear skates
  • Bike, ski or hockey helmets mandatory for all participants
  • Only Single blade skates allowed
  • Figure skates are HIGHLY recommended for all beginners, both boys and girls. Figure skates have a flatter blade compared to hockey skates and so are easier for beginners to learn balance on the ice.
  • Please dress yourself and your skater accordingly with outdoor winter clothing (snow pants, jacket, mittens/gloves)

Spring Exhibition Capped Off a Successful Season!

Our Spring Exhibition featuring our Fundamental of Figure Skating participants performed at the Weibel Ice Rink Saturday, April 8th. 

Everyone skated great and all are looking forward to our next exhibition planned for the end of the year!
