Saratoga Springs Tree City USA Celebration
Arbor Day, Friday April 27th
Saratoga Springs, NY – Department of Public Works Commissioner Anthony “Skip” Scirocco announced that on Arbor Day Friday, April 27th Saratoga Springs would celebrate its National Arbor Day Foundation Tree City USA Designation, at Division Street School, 220 Division St. in Saratoga Springs. The celebration will kick-off at 2pm with remarks from members of the City Council, the unveiling of Tree City USA flags and street signs, and the planting of a new tree by the city arborist.
Tree City USA is a program founded by the Arbor Day Foundation that recognizes a commitment to sound urban forestry management. Last July, Saratoga Springs joined over 3,400 communities nationwide that have earned the designation. Members of the public are invited to attend the celebration.
