The City of Saratoga Springs invites the community to a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at High Rock Park on Wednesday, September 11, 2020. The ceremony, hosted by Mayor Meg Kelly, will be held at the Tempered by Memory sculpture at 8:30 a.m.  Please plan on arriving by 8:15.

The observance begins with a welcome from Aaron Gladd, Vice Chancellor & Chief of Staff, State University of New York.   A color guard from the Saratoga Springs Police Department and Saratoga Springs Fire Department will follow. A moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. will symbolize when the first plane hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

The National Anthem will be sung by Natalie Perkins, and other music will be provided by Rick and Sharon Bolton. The keynote speech will be delivered by Colonel (U.S. Army, Retired) James (Jim) D. McDonough, Jr., the Executive Director of Headstrong, a leading mental health treatment practice for military connected individuals. https://getheadstrong.org/about/
