Mayor Ron Kim appointed Reverend Michael D. Bell to a two-year term as Chair of the Civilian Review Board during City Council September 6, 2022.
Reverend Bell is the pastor of Saratoga Spring's historic Dyer-Phelps Memorial AME Zion Church and has been relentless in working toward police reform. In his recent years as a local resident, he has brought his broad civil rights acumen, knowledge, and efforts to our community, contributing on outreach panels, leading Community Conversations on Policing, and organizing connective events.
